The Macron Stadium

The home of Bolton’s own Wanderers for the last 20 years. This is the Macron Stadium, home of the Trotters. With a capacity of over 28,000 and situated in Horwich, this stadium played host to BWFC in the Premier League for over half of its existence.

The stadium’s first competitive match saw a newly-promoted Bolton Wanderers team, just their second time in the Premier League, draw 0-0 to Everton. Since then, the stadium has seen two promotions (one automatic and one through the playoffs), a pair of FA Cup semifinal runs, a League Cup runners-up campaign, and two UEFA Cup campaigns.
